Stand up comedian Joanne Brookfield’s last show, Princess Pissy Pants The Greedy
Cheese Eating Bitch and Other Naughty Dog Tales, sold out shows in Melbourne,
Adelaide and Albury. So popular was it that at this year’s Melbourne International
Comedy Festival, not only did it sell out every night of it’s run, an extra show had to be
added to meet demand - and there’s still more to come, because as Joanne likes to say,
“that dog is a long time dead”. So Joanne is about to depart to New Zealand for a tour
of the South Island late September/October, taking in shows at Alexandra, Christchurch
and a season as part of the Dunedin Fringe Festival. Then it will head to NSW for the
Armidale Women’s Comedy Festival in late October.

Which is all well and good, but what about Melbourne Fringe? Well, it’s time to debut
a brand new show. Not “new”, like Zealand or the 236 year old South Wales, but brand
new. So Joanne has collected 10,800 words (thereabouts, give or take) and with her gift
for comedic syntax and narratively driven stand up, has turned them into a brand new
show. A story about the time she couriered human remains overseas.

Three shows only. Book early – will sell out.

“Has the audience in fits of laughter” – The Advertiser, 2006
“Joanne Brookfield is a must-see” – The Age, 2005
“Highly recommended” – The Age, 2004
